3rd day.
listening to the scientist as i'm typing, not as if its much of an impact. anw, i forgot to add ystd, i tried to go out and watch a movie on sunday. i never knew that the whole world was thinking the same way as me, and i didnt want to catch a movie at 1.20am? so went to airport to eat pasta. will you believe it, even airport was packed. man, singaporeans. if i had known, i would have very much rather stayed at home. oh did i mention, i flagged a london cab! and the first person i smsed to share this very significant detail to was neh :)
did i ever mention that there are these 2 lines that are fucking significant when i listen to the song?
tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
yeah. ah wells.
so dad's side of the family came over yesterday. well lets summarised how it went, everyone asked me the same question, and i repeated the same answer 4 times. no offence, but why do people ask you such a silly question such as 'are you intending to further your studies?' my god, i didn't take A levels just to stop there and earn lesser than someone who has a diploma. Of course i am intending to further my studies. the ridiculous questions! and i had this uncle, who i might add i didn't quite fancy from the very beginning, suggested so blatantly to just study in australia. the way he said it, and i am not exaggerating or oversensitive, was that if all else fails, if you do like fuck for your A levels, just ask your parents for money and go to australia and buy your degree back home. he made it seem like 'oh just go to australia lor'. Ah fuck you man. money doesn't fucking buy you anything. well go figure which uncle it is, but if you know my family history, you prob have a damn good idea of who it is. well, i know why he would have such an idea.
had an annoying aunty who couldn't stop talking. literally, she repeated the same thing twice, and i would know, because i was sitting next to her. she was so LOUD. i wanted to stab myself, i could see my mum and dad cringing too. man, she was weird and scary okay, and i just hated how sometimes they like to stare at your computer screen seeing what you type, hello privacy! and lastly, a fucking rude cousin. man, his own mother was talking to my mum, and he was kicking her from behind, asking when they were leaving. he asked the same question 20 times. NO JOKE. and he was so rude, like talking back to her in the most defiant way a 13 year old boy could. and he's anti-social. i mean ya i've talked back to my mum before, but definitely not in front of relatives. man, i would have killed myself if i had a son like that. i told him to not be so rude, but he still continued. man i wanted to shout at him to shut the fuck up. i told my aunty, your son is seriously, a kaopei king. she wholeheartedly agreed. sometimes you wonder, what have you done to make your kid like that.
SO that wasn't really a summary. but CNY's always been this way. Ingratiating and a facade. There are the relatives that i like from my dad's side, but more often than not, the crazy ones override the day. i still definitely prefer my mum's side, its more lively, fun and the cousins are about my age group. not like my dad's side which is men dominated. BORING. ah well, gabriel is still the loveliest, cutest, fattest and most innocent. people please, if i could, thats my first cousin from my dad's side who i would LOVE to intro to you, you will instantly fall in love with him, i promise you.
today is still a blur, might have to tag along with my mum to visit old folks, or might meet up with the girls! i MISS the old folks like mad, they are the LOVELIEST bunch. seriously, if you could meet those bunch of relatives, you would wanna hang out with them all the time. they are so funny, amusing and they make me laugh like mad all the time. funny what old folks can do? my 80 year old grandaunt insists that i call her PRETTY WOMAN. hahaha. i just love all these old folks!
I wanna watch protege and norbit!
And it was so cute la he. he smsed last night to say i won, that it was weird to not sms for one whole day. haha. stupid boy, ah wells. complications man.
Update later, this has been a superbly long entry.
